Urban Posture

School is starting up again, so you need to gear up! Why go for not recyclable wares when there’s another option (a stylish one even!!)?

Go lurk through Urban Posture‘s shop where you’ll find eco-friendly binders and tabs and folders. Yes, all made from recycled materials, super cute, and also, recyclable in the future!

Vince

I’m in great need of new business cards… With the right email & website addresses… And the new branding of Nea too! But, I have like 1000+ cards left from my old ones and it breaks my heart to not use them… They can’t even be recycled because of the matte laminate finish, so double breaks my heart! If anyone has suggestions on how I could repurpose, I’d love the input!

Anyway, a few weeks back I found this fabulous letterpress shop called Vince Letterpress (Australia) with simple clean gorgeous products, I had to share! Gotta love the textures!

Oh how I wish my next cards would be made from them with my design! I would look stylin’ as hell! lol :)

Saloukee

Just found out about Saloukee today from the Ponoko website, and wow did I just fall in love instantly!!

Made out of paper, these super detailed jewelry pieces will surely get the attention they deserve! Intricate and delicate, yet strong by the power of numbers, these beauties would look hot on any wrist or neck!

Plus, Saloukee counts celeb clients, like well, Angelina. Watch out for it!

Persian Garden

Persian Garden is a shop from Toronto that features wonderful digital illustrations by the artist, Afsaneh. Everything is delicate and feminine, detailed and colorful!

She also has a second shop, Joojoo, with polymer clay mini sculptures and jewelry, as well as a few more illustration prints. This one (below) would totally be perfect for a child’s room! SO cute!

The Art of Patience

This woman is crazy (in a wonderfully beautiful way)! She is Hina Aoyama, from Japan and living in France, and it can take her between one and two months to make a on meter square cutout piece. Which is surreal because it would take me more than 6 months, and all my sanity.

Visit her Flickr and her Website for more amazing-ness!

Origami Boxes

How cute are these origami boxes from Sweet Thoughts?

Alright, they are like a gift in themselves, but let’s just say you DO have another real gift to give, these would be perfect! I just adore her choice of papers with those little brads in the center.

I would think of the same with some fabric instead of paper too! I don’t even know if that’s possible (origami is a skill I really don’t have lol), but wouldn’t that look hot? :)

Calendar Happy 2009!

Hello everyone!!

I’ll take a little time to wish you all a Happy New Year and thank you all for being such faithful readers and great commenters! I adore reading all your fab comments on all my posts!

For those who would like to receive Creativadoration directly into their email each day (that is, if I post each day!), you can just come on to the homepage and you’ll find a link saying “Subscribe to Creativadoration by Email” on the top right! :)

——

And now, what could be more perfect than a handmade 2009 calendar selection! Just click on the pictures to be taken there!

I was actually looking for a wall calendar that I would have space to write small things on, not too big, not too small, but the selection for those that I liked were quite rare. (For next year, get on it, calendar designer peeps! hehe)

I finally bought the printable PDF calendar you can see above, by Bluetricycle! I doubt I’ll be able to write much since it’s 4.25in large, but it was just too cute to pass up! :)

Hope you’ll continue to enjoy my blog in 2009! I promise to keep bringing you a lot of handmade goodness! :)

Patience Paper

Now, here I was thinking I was a patient lady to cross-stitch for hours my Wall Wear pieces on linen, but I might have to take that back.

The lady behind Papercutdiecut (Toronto) probably is one of the most patient people out there. She hand cuts (CRAZY, I KNOW!) everything you see here and her whole entire shop is full of them!

I really think most of them are under priced. These are pieces of art, hours of labor and work, and they should be bought to be framed and priced accordingly. I usually do not feature items that I think are under priced on my blog, however fabulous, it’s against my “handmade religion” or something…

But these are so fantastic I could not wait another second to show them off…

It may sound weird, but this is the best compliment mixed with advice that I could ever give her :)

———–

To anyone under pricing they handmade work out there: OMG, VALUE YOURSELF!

When you under price, you send out this message that your work is cheap, that it’s not worth it.  It’s even worst that over pricing. Do not pay yourself $2 an hour minus fees, that’s just mean to your own self.

Why do I care? Well, it really hurts the entire handmade community as a whole…

Otsutree now on Etsy!

Remember when I posted about Otsutree and they fabulous number designs transfered on maple wood panels at 150$ a pieces, here?

Well I found them this morning, by pure luck, having an Otsutree Etsy shop, selling the same designs but on paper cards, which anyone can afford, really! YAY!

You could totally frame some and use them as decor!
