WWM : WorldWide Monopoly

You probably heard about the WorldWide Monopoly special edition board game that they want to offer very soon? Well people vote, all over the world, for their favorite cities to be seen instead of the regular ones.

Montreal was first (aka the prestigious Parc spot) almost all along, but yesterday when I checked the city was second. Canadian cities like Vancouver and Toronto were also on that list I think…

And today, well, the Leaderboard is down to add “suspence”… lol!

I just find this Monopoly thing funny! I’d love to see Montreal up there, so much people love it here, including us, I think.
But let’s face it, there’s so much things much much MUCH more important than that! lol

Spoon Me

My latest obsession: spoons!

Yeah, I still get those obsessions, every week is different and subjects vary a lot! lol

Here are Caroline Gomez‘s porcelain spoons, the ones who actually started my interest in spoons weeks ago! This French artist does not currently sell online, but she totally should think seriously about it! I’m a taker, and after being featured on many design blogs (including the fab and o-so-big Design*Sponge!) in the past weeks, I’m sure she would have many more buyers than just myself! Follow her blog, maybe she’ll let us buy her work shortly, we never know! :)

Next up is Manitoba’s woodworking artist Barry Lee Loewen, aka canadianwoodcrafts on Etsy, who makes wonderful “Baby’s first spoons”, but who am I kidding!? My little jam jars NEED these spoons! lol

Plus, Barry is really a great person, super helpful and creative! I know this because I’ve worked with him on custom wooden buttons for my jewelry and he had plenty of great ideas and was a real sweetie! Thanks again Barry!

Off to Peek Keep for some awesome awesome and simplistic porcelain spoons from Toronto’s Coe & Waito. The purity of the shapes are just stunning, I’m litteraly craving for one! Coe & Waito just totally rocks tha house people, they have been featured on so many blogs for all they housewares, I can’t even make a list! I even talked about them before back in September

Peek Keep also holds many Coe & Waito items, search for them! :)

Last but not least, if you love spoons but don’t “need” some, consider this scented oil diffuser made with spoon and fork, from Toronto’s SixthandElm on Etsy! Ingenious, stylish and practical! Loves it! :)

Want more spoons? Check out the Spoon Group on Flickr!!

Mud Familly

Boy, this is an almost all Canadian post…!

This was not planned at all, but I guess the spoon love thing may be a Canadian thing also?! lol

15 Below

Wow!

Dryerballs

Today’s Daily Candy was about these Dryerballs from Nellie’s, a company from BC, Canada. I thought it was an interesting product, so here it is!

“Dryerballs lift and separate clothes, reducing drying time because the air is moving efficiently and properly throughout the dryer. Dryerballs will cut drying time 15-25%.”

“For $20 plus tax Dryerballs will last you 3-5 years. That works out to around $4 a year plus you are saving on your electricity as well as on not buying fabric softeners.”

That IS convincing, and it is even more with the 2 years garantee!

After I finish my fabric softener box, I’m buying these! (I can’t just throw away the softener I already have, that’s so NOT eco-friendly to create unused waste!)

Field & Sea, from Vancouver, has a gorgeous online shop! Cuffs, art, handmade pillow boxes, handmade paper beads, photography…

I love the way they showcase the cuffs into polaroid-like shots! The logo and identity (the creator is a graphic designer) is also gorgeous and soft.

Just an awesome and beautiful paradise! Check it out!

Rollout

Rollout, from Vancouver, offers the most unique wallpapers I’ve seen in a while!

The compagny was born from the need of graphic expression in interior design, therefor, many designers and artists worked with Rollout to create unique wall pretties!

Want a one-of-a-kind wallpaper? No problem! Just talk to them about your project, and it’ll be yours!
