{ a Photo a Day a Month }

A while back (like years!) I had started a Flickr group called { a Photo a Day a Month }, in response to the year round photo challenge, but for those of us afraid of that big of a commitment! lol :) Up there are some of the pics I had taken in the past during this challenge!

Well we are more than 2 years after the last time I even attempted this, and I’m wanting to challenge myself a little. Plus, I miss photography!!! So June 2011 it is!

Miles Of Light

I fell in love with the Etsy shop Miles Of Light this week! Romina Bacci is a graphic designer and a photographer (obviously, right?)

So much pure and simple objects, but they transpire so much emotion and depth, how can you not want them all? Also find sets of bookmarks (non-glossy), which I think I would frame one beside each other in a single frame. Ohhh yeahhhh! To beautiful to be used and worn! lol

Wow, talk about atmosphere in a print!

Debbie Carlos‘ work is just truly amazing! Her connection to nature is clearly intense and she brings us along without resistance! They can be dark or super clean and fresh, and I love all the different sides to what is her style!

She can make different sizes of any print, so don’t let the prices of the super-sized (and super-awesome) prints stop you!

Kitchen Cliché

I could totally see these in cooking books, and of course your kitchen! The depth of fields, real colors, crisp details. Adore!

Mini People

Apparently we are not supposed to play with food. Well, hold that thought!

Mixing little figurines with food items and creating a scene is just what Dongedy Frame is about! Little worlds in which you can climb Nutella bottles, or have a baby nursery in flower petals, or shovel sugar.

It’s a whole new dimension to explore!

Don’t you just feel something when you see this kind of photography?

Muted subjects and colors, that is The Chesshire Smile‘s forte. Every single shot gives a very strong yet soft emotion, I just love them all!!

ANTM Cycle 12

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 12 has started last week! Yay!

I love it all, but of course my fave part of every show is the panel, where you actually get the see the pictures. I love love love fashion pics :)

This year has a blend of very different girls, as always. After seen only the launch show and the one after (I get to watch it here on Fashion Television only on Sundays! Please don’t spoil it for me!! lol), my top 2 choices  would have to be Fo (how gorgeous are her freckles!!) and Natalie (photographs really well I think). I also like Celia and Aminat.

Of course it’s hard to tell with only one shot taken, but it doesn’t matter, I’m bad at predictions anyway! lol

On another note, they are already accepting applications for Cycle 13. I checked out the eligibility sheet as to what they required as curiosity, and turns out I think the future cycle will have a “short” theme! That’s right, they ask that people submitting be 5’7″ or UNDER! Fun stuff :)

Dark Room

Totally loving these muted atmosphere photographs from ValeriaH. Especially the “Bedroom” and “Feminine” series.

Everything seems so calm and they all bring me to a comfy, silent and perfect place in a far corner of… I don’t even know where. Wish I had a special place to feel like this whenever I would need to.

Rock N Crochet

When one thinks about crochet, they might think about a scarf, gloves or a blanket, which can be really awesome of course! But in the decor department, crochet is almost forgotten, except the kitsch doily (I’m saying that in the positive way, actually).

Well, with Knitalatte‘s collection of stones covered with crochet, and also photographs of these pieces, you got a whole other level of just-pretty-to-look-at crochet! WANT!

ANTM 11 – Winner – McKey

I haven’t even made one post on America’s Next Top Model in this 11th season,
but here it is for miss McKey, the winner! lol :)

I have to admit that I’m glad she won, even tho my favorite was Marjorie (below), and I still think she should have been at least in the Top 3!

And that Analeigh (below) should have been Top 2!

Let’s just say I was not a fan of Samantha (below) although some of her pics were indeed gorgeous!

As you can see from the 3 last pictures, I loooved this photoshoot shot by Tyra herself!

Anyway, there were lots of wonderful shots again this year, and that’s basically why I watch the show! My favorite part is always the last 15 minutes at judging panel for that reason! lol
