} Anne Ten Donkelaar

Flowery art can either be kinda cheesy, or really cool. It’s really a fine line.

I think Anne Ten Donkelaar won this bet! Her pieces are 3D collages made from pressed flowers and cut out flower pictures. They float, which gives them an ethereal feel, making you wish you were really tiny and could walk around the flowery scenes.

Just awesome.

} Boutté

Talk about patience! Nathalie Boutté (France) clearly loves her media, paper, for doing her art pieces out of tiny pieces of them.

Using all kinds of papers (journal, colorful or blank, transparent) she portraits subjects or shapes in a unique and oh-so-impressive way. Check it out! :)

Anca Gray excels in creating many different kinds of materials, as you can see!

I also have a soft spot for her found poetry pieces. Creating poetry thru book pages, brilliant!!

} Dawn Gardner

I’m not usually a fan of collage, but in this case, there’s no way I’m not going to love it!

Graphic designer Dawn Gardner uses collage as her forte, and obviously, it’s totally working! I would actually buy prints of these, wouldn’t you? They would make for wonderful wall art!

Vintage images need love too… :)

Janelle Lile

Janelle Lile has two very distinct styles, watercolors and digital collages. But in so many ways, they go also so well together!

Transparency is of the essence, sometimes nature oriented, sometimes very industrial looking. Color combos are flawless!

LOVE! :D

Rain or Shine

Rain or Shine original collage, by getfreefly.

Two wonderfully fabulous shops that I discovered in the past week have to be mentionned here!

Representing “Rain” is Uruguay designer label TLDG Rainwear (“Todos los días grises”).

They make gorgeous raincoats, like the classic but edgy trench, but also the stylish hoodie! They are 100% waterproof and come is popping colors.

Representing “Shine” is Madeline Wood.

She offers a great variety of skirts, tops, pants and dresses with great textures and colors from pleats and buttons in fuchsia up to brown.

Trampoline

I’ve always loved Polaroids (RIP) when I find some on Flickr or Etsy. Muted corners. Subtle gradients. They are an arbitrary blend of past and present.

And so it was a no brainer that I would fall head over heels in love once I found out about Trampoline‘s Polaroid collages!

How GREAT is this concept, just new, gorgeous and fascinating!

Heidi Favour

I do not know precisely what it is about Heidi Favour‘s collage art that kinda mesmerizes me, but it just does.

I found her shop today I don’t even remember how, but I kept going back like 10 times in a few hours! lol! That surely deserves a post, right?

Everything seems so ethereal, yet earthy and down to earth at the same time. I just wanna buy all the $40 prints one after the other! :)
